RAWALPINDI: The Meteorological Department has forecast snowfall in Murree from Monday after which CTO Rawalpindi held an important meeting with the staff including DSP Traffic Murree in view of the weather advisory.
During the snowfall, additional personnel will be deployed in Murree to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and to deal with any emergency situation.
According to the spokesperson of the traffic police, on the orders of the district administration, directions have been issued to set up special pickets on all the entrances to prevent the entry of more vehicles.
According to CTO Rawalpindi Taimur Khan, additional personnel are being deployed on the border fences of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khan said all the staff should have emergency numbers of all departments to deal with any kind of emergency.
The CTO Rawalpindi said the duty officer will display the emergency numbers of all the departments in his office.
According to Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Taimur Khan, in case of any emergency, the duty officer will contact the concerned department in time and clear the road immediately.

According to the spokesman of the traffic police, traffic officers should be deployed along with the machinery of the highway to remove snow from the road during snowfall.
According to CTA and Rawalpindi, cranes and two trucks will be present at important points to provide timely assistance to the tourists.
