After strict restrictions on non-filers in the federal budget 2025, a storm of satire and humor erupted on social media. Users started targeting “non-filers” by sharing interesting, humorous, and creative memes, which became very popular among the public.
After the expected measures and additional taxes against non-filers in the budget, social media users began sending the message that non-filers will now be considered not just citizens but ‘non-human creatures.’ One user sarcastically wrote that “non-filers will not be considered human.”
Another user, mocking non-filers’ participation in weddings, said that non-filers will only be allowed to attend funerals, and will have no relation to celebrations.
Continuing the sarcasm, one user wrote that “if non-filers eat food in the first shift at wedding ceremonies, report them to the FBR to earn rewards.”
In another post, a question was raised about the social relations of non-filers: “No one will give relationships to non-filers!”
One user wrote that “non-filers will be banned from having more than one girlfriend, but they can have a female best friend!”
Referring to wedding events, one user’s comment was: “Only songs by Chahat Fateh Ali Khan will be played at non-filers’ weddings!”
While another user gave an interesting suggestion regarding wedding halls: “For non-filers, instead of a wedding hall, tables will be set up outside on the street during the baraats!”
The humor extended to morning prayers as well; one post read: “‘Good morning to everyone except non-filers!'”
