KARACHI: Residents of Mehran Town, located in Karachi’s Korangi have complained that the land mafia has become to occupy the land by demolishing their houses.
Talking to MM News a woman said they had been living in the area from last 18 years, but no one came to claim the ownership of the land, but now the land mafia has become active and destroying their houses. She said the land mafia has made several files of houses in the area and filling their pockets by selling the land to several parties.
The woman she she was on duty, when the goons of land mafia attacked her house and tortured her daughter and dragged her from hairs.
The affected woman said they are living under open sky with their children from last 3 to 4 days no one bother to look after them.
Another affected woman said they have proper documents of the houses their are living in Mehran Town, but the land mafia is trying to occupy their land. A man said they are living in the area from last 18 years and in 2017, Kashif Khan and his brother, who are sons of a retired sub-inspector made transfer documents in back-dates to occupy their land.
The victims have demanded of the authorities to take action against the land mafia.
