Meezan Bank, recognized as the leading Islamic financial institution, has announced its updated schedule of charges applicable from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024. As Pakistan’s premier and largest Islamic bank, Meezan Bank boasts a prominent status as a publicly listed company with a substantial paid-up capital of Rs. 17.91 billion. The bank, established in 2002 as the first-ever Islamic bank in the country, has rapidly emerged as one of the most dynamic players in the financial sector.
Guided by its vision to establish ‘Islamic banking as banking of first choice,’ Meezan Bank obtained the inaugural Islamic commercial banking license from the State Bank of Pakistan, marking the commencement of its operations.
A notable feature for Meezan Bank Debit Card holders is the introduction of the ‘Tap and Pay’ functionality at payment counters globally, supporting NFC-enabled merchants. This innovative service, coupled with the enhanced security of EMV or chip card technology, offers customers the flexibility to manage their accounts seamlessly.
According to the official blog, Meezan Visa Debit Card holders enjoy the convenience of accessing their accounts worldwide wherever the Visa symbol is displayed. The deducted amounts are directly withdrawn from the account balance, eliminating the need for interest payments, bills, and late fees.
In alignment with the latest schedule of charges, the annual fees for Meeza VISA Debit Card, MasterCard Debit Card, Women First VISA Debit Card, and other related services have been revised for the specified period.
Meezan VISA Debit Card Annual Fee from January 2024
The Meezan VISA Debit Card is available in four categories. Following are the updated per annum charges for the VISA Debit cards
Classic Card Rs.2,400/- per annum
Gold Card Rs.2,800/- per annum1
Platinum Card Rs.6,000/- per annum
Infinite Card Rs.30,000/- per annum
