QUETTA: The meeting of the parliamentary committee for the appointment of caretaker chief minister of Balochistan will be held again today.
According to the sources, the names of the candidates nominated by the government and the opposition were discussed in the meeting held in the committee room of the Balochistan Assembly Secretariat yesterday, but the caretaker chief minister could not be appointed and the meeting ended without results.
Around 4 members of the 6-member committee participated in the meeting, Chief Minister Quddus Bizenjo, and Abdul Rehman Khetran did not participate.
According to reports, if the parliamentary committee cannot agree on a single candidate for the nomination of caretaker chief minister of Balochistan by 12 o’clock tonight, then the matter will go to the Election Commission.
