KARACHI: Mir Javed Rahman, elder brother of media tycoon Shakil-ur-Rahman has passed away battling lung cancer in Sindh’s capital.
The deceased was the chairman and printer, publisher of the Jang Group. He had been under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
Senior journalist, Hamid Mir also expressed condolences over Mir Javed Rahman’s loss. He tweeted that it was very sad news that the publisher of Jang Group Mir Javed Rehman left this world due to cancer.

Many political leaders also tweeted over the sad news offered condolences that may Allah rest his soul in peace and grant him Jannah.

Deceased brother, Mir Shakil ur Rehman is currently in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s custody since the start of March. He was arrested related to illegal property cases in Lahore.
