As we all know Ms. Marvel ended this week. Ms. Marvel is the first Muslim superhero introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The show was amazing from start to finish and why should not we? The series literally showed some of Karachi’s most important landmarks such as the Teen Talwar and honestly, it was so good to see our country represented so well in the Marvel universe.
Everyone loved Kamala Khan’s character played by Iman Vellani. The show also showed the hijab and the essence behind it so well too and most importantly, the world got to see Islam in a positive light for the first time in Hollywood.
As part of MCU, Ms. Marvel started to air on June 8, 2022, and with 6 amazing episodes, the television series bid a bye with its finale episode on July 13, 2022. Its story is based on Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, a 16-year-old Pakistani-American teenager who lives in Jersey City.
She is an aspiring artist, an avid gamer, and a voracious fan-fiction scribe. She is also a huge fan of the Avengers — and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world — that is until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.
The cast includes Aramis Knight, Matt Lintz, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Mohan Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha, Mehwish Hayat, Samina Ahmed, Zenobia Shroff, Yasmeen Fletcher, Travina Springer, Laurel Marsden, Laith Nakli, Azhra Usman and Fawad Khan.
The show is currently being screened exclusively in theatres across Pakistan. It’s last two episodes premiered on July 15.
