JUI-F Head Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has revealed that the United States and Britain have directly brought their forces into Palestine.
During a meeting with foreign media representatives in Islamabad, he stated that the stance taken by the founder of Pakistan on the issue of Palestine remains the same today as it was before the establishment of Pakistan.
He mentioned that the founder of Pakistan rejected the United Nations’ proposal and wrote a letter to the American President stating that Palestine cannot be accepted as a state with two separate entities. The land of Palestine cannot be divided; Israel and Palestine are in a state of war.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that attacks are being carried out not against the fighters of Hamas but directly on the city of Gaza. Attacks are happening on hospitals and schools. The issue of Palestine concerns the Palestinian people directly; without their involvement, no solution is possible.
He stated that the Muslim Ummah (community) should not stand with their brothers in the same manner the Western world stands with Israel. Today, humanity is being killed; children, elderly, and women are being murdered. Will America still be considered a proponent of human rights after this?
He remarked on the surprise shown by the Indian media regarding why they are so troubled. If striving to reclaim one’s land is terrorism, what name should be given to the struggle of Gandhi? Will they not give this right to the Palestinians, whose land is under occupation? Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and will remain so. What we consider a legitimate right for ourselves, we consider legitimate for the Palestinians and Afghans as well.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that in the event of surrendering to the Israelis of the Islamic world, the concept of the end of the resistance movement has ended. If the American Secretary of State openly supports Israel, do we not have the right to support Hamas? The message sent to the world is that others will decide for the Palestinians, not the Palestinians themselves. It was assumed that the Arab world would persuade them, but the Palestinians have ended this assumption.
