LAHORE: Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra has become the first female officer who has been given the additional charge of station manager at Lahore railway station.
Assistant Transport Officer Lahore Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra has replaced the additional charge of station manager Lahore from station master Lahore Cantt Younis Bhatti. Railway sources said that Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra has become the first female station manager of Pakistan Railways.
In June, Major General Nigar Johar became Pakistan’s first female officer to be promoted to the rank of lieutenant general. The officer has also been appointed as the first female surgeon general of the Pakistan Army.
