LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) is scheduled to hear the plea of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz after six days over removing her name the Exit Control List (ECL).
LHC judge Justice Tariq Abbasi will conduct the hearing of Maryam Nawaz’s plea in which the court will decide whether to permit the PLM-N leader to travel abroad or not.
Maryam Nawaz filed a petition in the previous month in which she requested the court to direct the federal government to remove her name from no-fly list to enable her to travel abroad where her father and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was seeking medical treatment.
Her requested was rejected by the federal cabinet meeting during its session conducted under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the cabinet rejected the decision not to remove the name of Maryam Nawaz from the ECL.
Maryam’s family including her brothers and have already been staying in her London residence to look after her father Nawaz Sharif.
