Journalists, civil society and common people on social media have slammed PLM-N vice president Maryam Nawaz following her distasteful tweet that apparently mocking the death of senior journalist Arshad Sharif.
The former Prime Minister’s daughter shared a picture of Arshad Sharif’s coffin, about to be boarded on a plane bound for Pakistan, with a comment seemingly mocking Arshad’s sad demise.

Maryam Nawaz’s insensitive tweet triggered an immediate response from twitterattis, calling her out. Prominent journalists termed her tweet ‘ill-timed’. They advised her to go silent on the matter.

Moreover, Maryam also received criticism for sharing a video of cutting the cake of Diwali celebrations and sharing it on social media just a few hours after the heinous murder of Arshad Sharif.
