KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz will visit Quetta on Thursday to express solidarity with the Hazara community.
Maryam Nawaz will visit Quetta and meet the families of victims of the Hazara community and also express her condolences. She will be accompanied by PML-N leaders Ahsan Iqbal, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, Khurram Dastgir, Rana Sanaullah, Captain Safdar, Maryam Aurangzeb and former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair.
PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said the delegation accompanying Maryam Nawaz Sharif will offer condolences to the affected families on behalf of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto will also attend the sit-in of the Hazara community and offer condolences to the heirs of the victims of the Machh tragedy. The PPP delegation will also include Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and members of the Sindh Cabinet.
Earlier Maryam Nawaz appealed the families of miners, who were slain in a terrorist attack in Machh, to bury their loved ones. Taking to Twitter, she said that she will visit Quetta on the directions of Nawaz Sharif and urge members of the Hazara community to bury the coal miners that were killed in a brutal attack.
The Hazara community is continuing a sit-in with the coffins of miners for the fifth consecutive day and have refused to end the protest and bury their loved ones until their demands are met.
The protesters have been demanding that the prime minister visit Quetta. The prime minister assured the families that he will soon visit Quetta very soon to offer condolences personally over their loss.
