Well-known Pakistani actress Mansha Pasha has strongly denied recent reports of a split with her husband, human rights attorney and activist Jibran Nasir, deeming the speculation as completely baseless.
In a recent interview, Pasha countered the floating rumors, explaining that public presumptions probably arose because Jibran was not very present at social gatherings.
“Just because he doesn’t accompany me often to public functions, people assume something is amiss in our marriage. But that’s simply not the case,” she said.
Today, the measure of a successful relationship seems to depend on how visible it is on social media. The more present you are online, the happier you appear to others
Looking at how society views relationships, the actress pointed out that there has been a change in the way happiness is measured.
“Today, the measure of a successful relationship seems to depend on how visible it is on social media. The more present you are online, the happier you appear to others,” she added.
Pasha stressed her determination to preserve the privacy in a culture increasingly dominated by influencer couples and online visibility. “Few families are able to survive the ever-present examination of social media. We prefer to keep things personal within the four walls of our home.”
She also revealed her experience of receiving unwanted criticism of her looks, including proposals to get cosmetic surgery.
“People tend to make unfounded assumptions—even give me unsolicited beauty advice that I never sought. It’s another example of how quickly false stories are manufactured,” she said.
