Geo TV’s drama serial “Mann Mast Malang” is facing intense criticism from viewers over the romantic scenes between Danish Taimoor and Sehar Hashmi, with many people demanding an immediate ban on the show.
The episodes of this drama have been viewed over 50 million times on YouTube so far, and it is gaining popularity not only in Pakistan but also in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, and other countries around the world.
Mann Mast Malang is written by Nooran Makhdoom, who gained fame with Tere Bin, and directed by the well-known director Ali Faizan.
The story of the drama revolves around two families who become enemies of Kabir Khan. Kabir Khan’s character is played by Danish Taimoor, who accidentally kills Ria Asghar Ali’s mother in an incident. Ria is portrayed by Sehar Hashmi.
Ria and Kabir Khan are childhood fiancés, but due to the family feud, they become adversaries. So far, over 40 episodes of the drama have aired. While some viewers are appreciating the on-screen chemistry between Danish Taimoor and Sehar Hashmi, there is also disapproval over the increasing romantic content in the show.
The bold romantic scenes aired in recent episodes have further angered viewers, particularly the bedroom scene between Kabir and Ria, and the forced honeymoon scenes, which have sparked intense backlash on social media.
Viewers have labeled these scenes as “immoral” and “against family values,” demanding immediate action from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
