A young man is in critical condition after accidentally ingesting an earring found in a sandwich he claimed to have bought from Imtiaz Super Store in the Korangi Industrial Area on Saturday.
According to reports, Samuel, the affected individual, purchased a sandwich from the store. While eating, he noticed he was bleeding from his mouth and discovered earring fragments in the blood. Fellow shoppers helped him get to the nearby Bait Salam laboratory, where an X-ray revealed that the earring’s pearls were lodged in his stomach.

Despite the X-ray clearly showing the foreign object, the Imtiaz Super Store administration did not take appropriate action. Instead of sending Samuel to the hospital, they sent him home. In a video message, Samuel expressed frustration with the store’s lack of response and verbal apology, noting that the situation could have been even more severe if it had happened to a child.
Samuel urged other citizens to avoid shopping at such places and mentioned that he has filed a report at the Korangi Industrial Area police station. He also plans to contact the Consumer Court and the Sindh Food Authority to ensure a thorough investigation and to prevent similar incidents.
MM News reached out to Imtiaz Super Store at 021111468429, receiving a complaint number (1723893851672), but no satisfactory response was provided.
Umair Jadoun, an officer from Imtiaz Store, stated that an investigation is underway regarding Samuel’s incident and that the store is prepared to cooperate fully in addressing the young man’s treatment.
