KARACHI: An man accused of raping an American lady doctor has been arrested in the Sindh capital.
The incident of rape of a Pakistani-American doctor took place in the area of Saddar, Karachi. A report has been filed in the Frere Town Police Station station in Karachi while the police have arrested the accused and the victim has also undergone a medical examination.

Sources said that the accused belonged to a politically influential family in Balochistan. On the night of November 15, the accused named Yasir Shah, also an acquaintance of the victim took her in his car to his house and forcibly raped her.
According to police officials, the accused Yasir Shah has been arrested after the FIR was lodged. Police officials further said that the victim is a Pakistani-American and a doctor by profession. The accused belonged to a politically influential family in Balochistan.
