A shocking incident unfolded in Rawalpindi when a man was caught red-handed performing black magic rituals while digging up a young girl’s grave. Local police confirmed the arrest of the suspect, identified as Yaseen Bukhari.
According to the police, Mirza Sulaiman, the father of the deceased girl, had buried his daughter in a cemetery near Chauntra village. He was alerted about a stranger tampering with the grave and immediately rushed to the site with law enforcement.
Upon arrival, the police found Bukhari carrying suspicious items, including a clay statue of half a human, seven amulets, and seven nails tied with iron wire—all believed to be linked to sorcery. He was apprehended on the spot.
A case was registered against Bukhari under Section 297 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) for committing un-Islamic practices at a burial site.
According to the FIR, the suspect, a resident of Adhowal village, intended to bury the items to perform black magic.
During interrogation, Bukhari initially claimed his wife had been bedridden for a long time and that a spiritual healer advised him to unearth a buried object from the cemetery to cure her. However, when questioned about the ritualistic items he carried, he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.
The suspect was presented in court, but since the charges were bailable, he was released on bail shortly after.
