Man arrested after video goes viral of him beating daughter

KARACHI: After a video went viral on social media in which a father was beating his daughter, Police claimed that they have arrested the man prompting higher authorities to take its notice.

According to a police spokesperson, Sindh Inspector General Dr. Kaleem Imam had taken notice of the video and directed the central Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to take notice.

In the video, the accused man, identified as Dildar Bhatti, was beating her daughter with a ladle and dragging her along the ground by her hair. The girl was continuously begging for mercy.

The police spokesperson said that investigation has been started and First Information Report (FIR) has not been registered so far.
