A lecturer at Malakand University has been found guilty of harassing a student, following which the syndicate dismissed him from his job.
According to details, lecturer Abdul Haseeb was proven guilty of harassment, and based on the recommendation of the anti-harassment committee, the university syndicate terminated his employment.
The dismissed lecturer, Abdul Haseeb, was accused of abduction and sexual harassment by a student from the Urdu department at Malakand University on February 4.
Following the registration of the case, the university administration suspended the accused lecturer and referred the matter to the anti-harassment committee.
Yesterday, the university syndicate decided to dismiss the lecturer based on the recommendations of the anti-harassment committee.
University spokesperson Meraj confirmed to Geo News that the syndicate made the decision in its meeting, and a formal notification will be issued by Monday.
