Protesters across Gilgit Baltistan took to the streets to condemn the militant attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s lower Kurram district, expressing anger and sorrow over the loss of lives and demanding justice for the victims.
The protests were held in various areas, including Skardu, Hunza, and Gilgit, where demonstrators marched through the streets, raising slogans against the government and criticizing its failure to control terrorism.
In Skardu, a massive demonstration began after Friday prayers at the Imamia Jamma Masjid, with thousands participating.
Speakers at the rally alleged that the government and security agencies showed little interest in preventing attacks targeting the Shia community and demanded immediate action to ensure the safety of Parachinar residents.
The protests highlight the growing concern over terrorism in the region and the need for effective measures to prevent such incidents.
It’s worth noting that terrorism has been a persistent issue in Pakistan, with various groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), carrying out attacks across the country.
The TTP has been responsible for several violent incidents, and its activities have been a focus of concern for the government and law enforcement agencies.
