Renowned Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has shared her thoughts on the possibility of working in Bollywood again in light of recent tensions between India and Pakistan.
During the promotion of her new film “Love Guru,” Mahira was asked whether she intends to work in Bollywood in the future. She responded by saying, “I think we need to look inward and focus on our own industry.
I don’t believe in cancel culture or boycotts, but in the current situation, we are all emotional. Therefore, instead of taking a hard stance, we should focus on ourselves and invest in Pakistan.”

Mahira Khan made her Bollywood debut in 2017 with the film “Raees” alongside Shah Rukh Khan. However, during the recent conflict, she called India’s “Operation Sindoor” an “act of extreme cowardice,” to which the All Indian Cine Workers Association responded by labeling her statement as “an insult to the nation,” and imposed a complete ban on Pakistani artists in the Indian film industry.
Under this ban, not only Mahira Khan but also other Pakistani artists like Fawad Khan have had their images removed from Indian music apps and film posters.
Mahira Khan’s recent statements indicate that, given the current political climate, she intends to focus on the Pakistani film industry rather than working in Bollywood.
