RAWALPINDI: The district police have arrested three men, including a madrasah teacher, in Rawalpindi for violently beating a 15-year-old student for possessing a mobile phone.
According to details, the Waris Khan police arrested the teacher, identified as Qari Mushtaq, after the boy’s father registered a case against him.
A police spokesperson has informed that a case has been registered against the arrested accused, while further investigation was underway.
Earlier in August, the police arrested two madrasa teachers for allegedly torturing their minor students in Karachi’s Orangi Town. One was taken into custody in connection with an old video clip, while the other was said to be involved in a recent incident.
An official informed that Qari Fareed was arrested from a madrasa in Orangi Town’s Zia Colony, adding that an 18-month-old video clip circulating on social media showed the suspect beating a minor girl for not learning her lessons.
