The price of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) was reduced in Karachi by Rs. 10 per kilogram despite a surge in demand amid severe gas load-shedding in parts of the port city.
According to a media report, LPG is now being sold at Rs 250 after a decrease of Rs 10 per kilogram.
Residents facing severe gas load-shedding have demanded that the authority concerned further decrease the price to provide relief to the people compelled to buy LPG for domestic use.
They also appealed to the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted gas supply to the residents of Karachi.
They urged the government to take effective measures to resolve this issue permanently and decrease reliance on LPG cylinders.
It should be noted that now every area of the port city is facing load-shedding of Sui-Gas, and as a result, demand for LPG has surged in the metropolitan city. The citizens are also facing severe electricity load-shedding amid scorching heat.
