Low-lying areas of Punjab flooded due to heavy rain

LAHORE: After heavy rain in different areas of the provincial capital, the heat wave smashed.

Due to light and heavy rain in different areas of Punjab including Lahore, the low-lying areas were flooded while electricity supply was suspended.

Light and heavy rain are continuing in Sharqpur, Patuki, Sheikhupora, Lalian, Kalorkot, Okara, Bhalwal, and Chiniot.

On the other hand, there was rain in Bagh Azad Kashmir and its surroundings, due to which the rivers flooded, the administration directed the people near the rivers to move to safer places.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of more rain in the next 24 hours, while there is also a risk of landslides in the hilly areas.
