Fawad Khan is back in Bollywood..!
Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan and Indian star Vaani Kapoor have started shooting for the romantic drama “Abir Gulaal” in London, The Variety reported on Monday.
Directed by Arti S Bagdi, the film will be shot in the UK between October and November and is produced by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures, with producers Vivek B. Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy.
“The film is about the journey of two people who heal themselves in unexpected ways as their love blossoms,” Bagdi told Variety.
Khan is popular in Pakistan and India and is known for his leading roles in Bollywood films such as “Khoobsurat” (2014) and “Kapoor & Sons” (2016). He was also in “Mrs. Marvel” (2022) and “The Legend of Maula Jatt” (2022) which are the highest-grossing films in Pakistan.
The Indian release of “Maula Jatt: remains on hold following objections from a right-wing fringe group. Khan also starred in the popular Zindagi series “Barzakh”, which debuted at Series Mania in 2023.
Kapoor, who received critical acclaim for her transgender role in “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” (2021), is also the lead in upcoming Netflix crime thriller series “Mandala Murders” and coming-of-age Bollywood drama-comedy “Badtameez Gill.
