ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has rejected allegations leveled by Tasneem Haider, who claims to be a PML-N spokesperson in London, regarding involvement of PMNL Chief Nawaz Sharif in assassination plots of prominent journalist Arshad Sharif and Chairman PTI Imran Khan.

Tasneem Haider on Sunday had made startling revelation, claiming that the plan to kill Arshad Sharif and Imran Khan was prepared in London under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, and that he was himself witness to at least three such meetings where assassination plots were discussed.

In a statement released to media on behalf of PMLN, the federal minister said Tasneem Haider had no relation with the party.
“Tasneem Haider is not a spokesman of PML-N London,” she said adding that nobody should try to become a spokesperson of the party.

She said Tasneem Haider should produce evidence, if he had any, regarding the murder of Arshad Sharif before the Joint Investigation Team made in Pakistan.
She claimed that the person, who hurled allegations in video clips circulating in different sections of the media, was the organiser of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s London chapter.

“Forgery, lies and fake news cannot divert attention from the real killers of Arshad Sharif,” she added.
