One of the leading founding fathers of Pakistan, Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan’s 70th death anniversary is being observed today on Saturday.
The sacrifices of Liaquat Ali Khan are not unknown. He along with the Father of the Nationa, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah struggled to obtain a separate land for the Muslims of the Sub-continent.
Liaquat Ali Khan was given titles such as Quaid-e-Millat and Shaheed-e-Millat. He had served as a statesman, lawyer and political theorist. In his cabinet portfolio, Liaquat Ali Khan held positions including foreign, defence, and the frontier regions minister.

When the negotiations with the British were carried out regarding the independence of India in 1946, Liaquat Ali Khan had served as finance minister in the interim government.
The name of Liaquat Ali Khan and his struggles will always be remembered. He was assassinated on 16th October in 1951, at a political rally, in Rawalpindi.
