LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to complete the investigation into the assets case of the Chaudhry brothers in a month.
The court heard the case against the powers of the chairman NAB and DG NAB Shehzad Saleem appeared in the Lahore High Court. Justice Sadaqat Ali inquired about the allegations against the petitioners. The lawyer said there were allegations of disproportionate assets and illegal recruitment.
The DG NAB told the court that the case of illegal recruitment against the Chaudhry brothers has been closed and the case of assets in excess of income is pending.
The court was told that the investigation against the Chaudhry brothers would be completed in six months. The Lahore High Court ordered to complete the investigation of assets in excess of the income of the Chaudhry brothers within four weeks.

The Chaudhry brothers had approached the Lahore High Court against the powers of the NAB chairman and took a stand in the petition that it is a political engineering institute.
The petition seeks that the NAB’s move to reopen its inquiry into assets in excess of its 19-year-old income be declared illegal. The petitioner stated that the Chairman NAB has ordered a re-investigation of the 19-year-old case against us and even before that the NAB had conducted a thorough investigation of assets in excess of income 19 years ago but failed.
