LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday declared a petition, seeking removal of the PTI Chairman Imran Khan from the position of party chairman, as maintainable.
LHC Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi had heard the petition on Thursday and reserved the judgement.
The petition was moved by advocate Muhammad Afaq, in which federal government, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and PTI Chairman Imran Khan and others had been made respondents.

In his petition, advocate Muhammad Afaq argued that Imran Khan had been disqualified from NA-95 after Election Commission’s verdict in Toshakhana reference, therefore, should be ordered to be removed from the position of party chairman.
LHC Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi announced the verdict today, declaring the petition as maintainable. The LHC issued notice to Attorney General and summoned rejoinder until November 11.
