Noted Pakistani designer Maria B continued to remain in the news for her contentious views about the transgender community.
The designer took to X and expressed her disappointment in the younger generation and wrote, “It saddens me to see the hate and misconceptions our younger generation has about Islam.”
She added, “All the comments I see are from ppl who know nothing about the truth of Islam & have never read the Quran properly.”

According to her, LGBTQ is not a subject to be taken lightly. “Federal Shariat Court listened to the case on Transgender Act for 2 yrs before deciding which parts were unIslamic,” she maintained.

She warned in her tweet that the funding coming from the West basically wants to confuse Pakisatni children and we (Pakistanis) will fight this in court.
The owner of the country’s largest fashion designer has remained outspoken in her criticism of practices that were said to be against Pakistani socio-cultural norms. She has also been a vocal critic of the transgender community in the country.
