KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has ordered the officers to lay off who do not report to work by 10 am.
The move came when Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah paid a surprise visit to Sindh Secretariat today and expressed anger over the absence of higher officers.
The chief minister also visited multiple departments and checked the attendance of the officers. He visited the Excise Department where the departments’ secretary and deputy secretary were absent.
He once again reiterated that if the officers were coming late, it was better that they stay at home, he added.
Murad Ali Shah last month chaired the Provincial Public Safety and Police Complaints Commission (PPSPCC) meeting at the Chief Minister House.
Chief Secretary Sindh Mumtaz Shah, Law adviser Murtaza Wahab and Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi, Secretary Commission Saifullah Abro, Aidad Pattafi, Mohammad Ali Aziz, Shahnaz Begum, Barrister Hia Ayman, Kurban Milano, and others were present in the meeting.
