LONDON: Pakistan’s barrister Zahra Viani has been elected as a member of this Lincoln Inn Bar panel.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Zahra Viani is the first Pakistani woman to be elected as a member of the Committee of Representatives. She will be a part of this committee for four years, she studied at the same institution.
Barrister Zahra Viani said that there were 19 candidates from all over the world, including Pakistan, for the selection of members of the representative committee. The total number of voters was 1300 and 1100 votes were cast. He got more than 400 votes in online voting. Barrister Zahra Vyani hails from Karachi, Pakistan.
It should be noted that Lincoln’s Inn’s Representation Committee plays a prominent representative role, with committee members sitting on most bench committees that have their say in issues such as education, admissions, and scholarships, as well as the institution’s property management, finances, and investments. This committee meets six times a year to discuss these issues.
Lincoln is one of the oldest and most famous educational institutions in the world. Former students of this institution include Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Iqbal region, and former Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfikar Bhutto. Former British Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair have also studied at Lincoln’s Inn.
