PESHAWAR: A local magistrate on Tuesday granted 2 days of physical remand of Advocate Adnan, who was caught after shooting to death senior lawyer and former President of SC Bar, Abdul Latif Afridi, at Peshawar High Court Bar room on Monday.

It may be recalled that assassin shot him multiple times from point blank range, critically injuring him.
Advocate Abdul Latif Afridi was immediately rushed to hospital but he could not survive. A spokesperson for Lady Reading Hospital said “Latif Afridi was brought dead to hospital.”

The attacker, a police spokesperson said, was arrested soon after he shot the senior lawyer. Sources told MM News that the attacker has been identified as Advocate Adnan, and a card recovered of Law College recovered from him. Adv Adnan Sami Ullah is nephew of the ATC Judge who was killed at Motorway in 2021. Latif Afridi was nominated in the case, but was later acquitted by court.

MM News has learnt that the prime suspect, Advocate Adnan, shot dead Abdul Latif Afridi to settle score of the murder of his uncle, an ATC Judge, who along with his wife and child were brutally killed on Motorway in 2021.
Meanwhile, lawyers’ community is observing strike today to register their condemnation against brutal murder of Abdul Latif Afridi.
