LAHORE: A miserable widower of Lahore has appealed for the recovery of her young and only son, who has been in the clutches of tribal kidnappers for a year.
The elderly mother, who was at the protest outside the Lahore Press Club with her young daughter, told MM News in tears that her son Nadeem was taken to a tribal area by a man named Usman from Lahore a year ago on the pretext of getting him a job and sold him to the tribal people.
According to the old mother, she came to know about the child’s abduction and hostage for ransom when she received a message on WhatsApp asking for a ransom of Rs 2 million.
The grieving mother said that those who took the child hostage said that they had paid two million rupees to a person named Usman in exchange for Nadeem until this amount is received, they will not release the child.
The old mother said that with the demand for money, they send a recording of the child being tortured and her son cries and pleads to arrange the money, otherwise, they will shoot me.
Sister of the kidnapped Nadeem said that she has six sisters while Nadeem is their only brother, who used to earn, now there is no earner in the house. She said that the person named Usman, who had sold Nadeem to “Kharkars” was present in Lahore.
Nadeem’s sister said that they have also registered an FIR, Usman has also been arrested, but the police have taken money and released him again, so he is walking freely now.
The old mother and her daughter appealed to the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister of Punjab, and the Chief Justice to quickly recover their son and brother from the clutches of the kidnappers and bring the accused Usman who sold him to justice.
