The Lahore Zoo has announced 50% discount on various recreational facilities in a bid to provide financial relief to citizens and increase greater footfall at the zoo.
The administration is offering significant discounts on big attractions such as the Reptiles House, Fish Aquarium, Holoverse, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality experiences. However, the Zoo says the entry ticket and parking fee will remain unchanged.
According to revised pricing, the Reptiles House and Fish Aquarium, previously priced at Rs. 200, will now be available for Rs. 100. Similarly, tickets for Holoverse (Rs. 300), Virtual Reality (Rs. 200), and Mixed Reality (Rs. 100) will also be offered at 50 percent off.
According to the zoo administration, the Holoverse, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality facilities are currently closed for cleaning and maintenance but will be reopened to the public as soon as possible.
This decision was made following approval from the Captive Wildlife Management Committee (CWMC). Officials stated that the discounts aim to facilitate the public and increase the number of zoo visitors.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, the private company previously managing zoo operations terminated its contract. As a result, the zoo administration has now taken over all responsibilities, including ticketing.
