The Lahore Qalandars have appointed South African coach Russell Domingo as their head coach for the upcoming PSL 10.
“The franchise is delighted to welcome Domingo, an experienced coach who has previously led both the South African and Bangladesh national teams. He steps in to replace Darren Gough, who had to step down due to unavoidable personal reasons,” a statement of the Qalandars stated on Saturday.
Domingo’s expertise in strategic planning and player development aligns perfectly with Lahore Qalandars’ vision of building a strong, competitive squad, the statement added.
Expressing his excitement about the new role, Domingo stated, “I am thrilled to join Lahore Qalandars for the 2025 PSL season. I look forward to working with the team, meeting the players and management, and preparing for a successful campaign.”
Lahore Qalandars will kick off their PSL 10 journey on April 11 with a crucial match against Islamabad United at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while the big sports event will also start on the same date.
