Lahore police have apprehended 12 people including six women, during a raid on a dance event taking place at a hotel in Lahore.
The operation was executed in Valencia Town following the receipt of pertinent information.
According to a police spokesperson, the Halloki Police Station led the raid and detained 12 suspects while they were engaged in festivities at the hotel.
The individuals taken into custody include Bilawal, Faizan, Saram, Qasim, Zain, Kiran, Rimsha, Pakiza, Aqsa, Hina, Maryam, and Fatima.
Law enforcement officials confiscated hookahs, speakers, and flavored shisha from the suspects and have initiated legal proceedings against them.
SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar emphasized that proactive measures are being implemented to deter criminal activities.
In a related incident last month, police arrested 28 individuals, both men and women, who were participating in a dance party in the Barki area of Lahore.
The SHO of Barki police station reported that a team conducted the raid following a complaint received via helpline 15 regarding the dance party.
He noted that 18 men and 10 women were apprehended during the operation, while one suspect managed to evade capture.
