Lahore Blues delivered a stellar performance in the National T20 Cup final, crushing Peshawar by nine wickets at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. Led by Hussain Talat, the team outclassed their opponents in all departments to claim the prestigious title.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Peshawar faltered against Lahore Blues’ disciplined bowling attack, managing only 110/9 in their 20 overs. Despite his exceptional tournament form, Sahibzada Farhan failed to shine in the final, scoring just 17 runs.
Captain Iftikhar Ahmed led the scoring with 34 runs, while wicketkeeper Zulqarnain contributed 32. Mohammad Salman Mirza was the standout bowler, delivering a sensational spell of 4/21, while Mohammad Irfan took two crucial wickets.
Chasing 111, Lahore Blues comfortably wrapped up the match in just 16 overs. Umar Siddiq stole the show with an unbeaten 64 runs, smashing six fours and two sixes. He was well-supported by Junaid Ali, who remained not out on 30, sealing a dominant victory.
