Kristen Bell will return to host the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, marking her second time leading the prestigious event.
According to a report by The News on Tuesday, the ceremony will be streamed live on Netflix on Sunday, February 23, at 8 p.m. ET, from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Currently starring in the Netflix comedy Nobody Wants This, Bell expressed her excitement about returning to the role. “Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” she shared in a statement. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, celebrating ourselves.”
Bell first hosted the SAG Awards in 2018, with Megan Mullally taking over in 2019. After several years without a host, the show welcomes Bell back to the stage.
“Kristen Bell’s wit, warmth, and charm make her the perfect fit for our show,” said Jon Brockett, SAG Awards Executive Producer. “Plus, everybody wants this.”
In addition to Nobody Wants This, which Bell also executive produces, her recent projects include the Prime Video film The People We Hate at the Wedding and Netflix’s parody thriller The Woman in the House.
