Due to the religious significance of Ramadan, the annual 9th and 10th class examinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the year 2024 have been delayed by one month. The Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar announced this decision, shifting the start of exams from the initially planned date of March 14 to April 18.
This adjustment in the examination schedule was made after careful consideration of requests from students and parents, who emphasized the importance of accommodating the holy month of Ramadan. A meeting of the chairmen of all boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unanimously agreed to this change.
While the Matric exams 2024 in KP will now commence on April 18, the Punjab boards have confirmed their schedule, with the 10th class exams starting on March 1 and the 9th class exams beginning on March 19, as per the approved tentative date sheet by the committee of chairmen of Punjab boards.
This decision aims to create a favorable environment for students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during their examinations in Ramadan, taking into consideration the religious sentiments of the community. Meanwhile, Punjab boards will stick to their original schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to the academic calendar.
