PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has announced a 100% increase in the limit of the Sehat Card. The amount covered by the Sehat Card will rise from Rs1 million to Rs2 million.
This announcement was made during a ceremony in the provincial capital.
The Chief Minister emphasized that citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can receive free treatment at designated hospitals across the country. He also committed to further improving the health sector in the province.
After assuming office, the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fully reinstated the Sehat Card Plus scheme in March.
In addition, the provincial government plans to assess and select more hospitals for the Sehat Card Plus program, anticipating an increase in the number of patients after Eidul Fitr.
Currently, there are 753 hospitals nationwide where residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can access free healthcare services. Of these, 118 hospitals are located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the remaining 635 are spread across Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, according to officials.
