Indian cricketer and former skipper Virat Kohli had a brief confrontation with media personnel at Brisbane Airport after the third Test against Australia when he noticed cameras filming him and his family without permission.
Kohli, who is known to value his family’s privacy, was visibly upset when he believed his children were being captured on camera. The incident unfolded when journalists, who had initially been interviewing Australian pacer Scott Boland, turned their attention to Kohli and his family.
A local reporter described the situation as follows: “Kohli got upset due to a misunderstanding, thinking the media was filming him with his children.”
Kohli addressed one of the journalists, saying, “I need privacy with my kids. You can’t film without my permission.”
The tension was quickly diffused when the media crew clarified that Kohli’s children were not being filmed. Kohli, now calmer, offered a handshake to the cameraman, resolving the matter amicably.
