KARACHI: The City’s Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has cancelled the allotment orders of all the huts located at Karachi Hawke’s Bay.
In a statement issued today (Monday), Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani has informed that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has 254 huts on Hawke’s Bay which were allotted for three years.
The Administrator Karachi directed the land department to take possessions of all the huts located at the beach. The concerned authorities have also been directed to take immediate action against the allottees, who haven’t paid their annual rent yet.
Iftikhar Shallwani further said that all the huts should be auctioned at current market value, as it would help increase the KMC’s revenue. The KMC spokesperson said the Land Department has issued notices to the KMC beach hut allotees to remove their accessories from KMC property.
