Slovakian company Klein Vision has announced that the world’s first mass-produced flying car, the Air Car, will be available for sale in the beginning of 2026.
This two-seater, which looks like a sports car, is equipped with two wings that extend in just two minutes and are stored back in the body after landing. After gaining speed, the car runs down a runway and then takes to the sky.
The Air Car is a gasoline-powered hybrid vehicle that can carry two people up to 18,000 feet. Its propellers allow it to run on the runway at a speed of 124 mph, while in the air it can fly at a speed of 155 mph.
“The Air Car is a dream come true, a revolutionary step towards making personal air travel accessible to the masses,” said company founder Stephen Klein. “We are connecting the road and the air in a new dimension.”
According to Clean Vision, the initial price of the air car can start from $ 800,000 (about 220 million Pakistani rupees) and go up to $ 1 million (about 280 million Pakistani rupees), depending on the engine power and features. Three engine options will be available: 280, 320 and 340 horsepower.
Work is also underway on a new version of the air car, the “Air Car 2”, whose first flight is expected in September 2025. According to the company, promo images show a glimpse of its modern design.
Experts believe that the global market for flying cars will reach $ 1 trillion by 2040 and $ 9 trillion by 2050. This new technology will reduce the traffic load on the ground and make travel faster by using air routes.
