QUETTA: The Counter Terror Department (CTD) of Balochistan has claimed arresting killer involved in the murder of former Chief Justice of the province, Noor Meskanzai.

According to the CTD, Shafqatullah Jhalanzai resident of Kharan has confessed of murdering the former CJ BHC Noor Meskanzai. “He received orders from a neighboring country for killing the former CJ,” DIG CTD told media during a crowded press conference.

Speaking to media, DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya said banned outfit BLA had claimed responsibility for the killing of Justice Noor Meskanzai. He said after the assassination, a high-level judicial commission was formed which worked very hard to get to the killers.

It may be recalled that Former Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai was killed in an attack in the Kharan district of Balochistan on October 14.

During the presser, DIG CTD played confessional video statement of Shafqatullah Jhalanzai, who admitted to kill the former Chief of Balochitan. Aitzaz Goraya said arms, explosives and hand grenades were also recovered from the possession of Shafqatullah Jhalanzai.
