West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard set a new record of playing 500 T20 matches and became only the second batsmen to score 10,000 runs in the respective format during their 25-run win against Sri Lanka yesterday.
Kieron Pollard has joined compatriot Chris Gayle – who has scored 13,296 runs – in the 10,000 runs club across both international and franchise cricket prior to the format.
Since making his T20 debut in 2008, the all-rounder has played for franchises in Pakistan, India, West Indies, England, Australia, Bangladesh, and South Africa, apart from T20 International.
His fellow teammate Chris Gayle congratulated him over 500 matches and joining the 10,000 runs club.
Congrats on the 500 and welcome to the 10K Club, @KieronPollard55 💪🏿👍🏿🤫
