A shocking incident unfolded in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town where a kidnapped child was spotted begging on the streets, leading to the dramatic identification and rescue of the boy by his family.
The incident took place in Sector 17-A of Shah Latif Town, where three-year-old Hussain Ali—who had been abducted two and a half months ago—was seen begging. Family members instantly recognized him and intervened.
According to reports, on May 5, Hussain Ali was kidnapped from the same locality.
His uncle, who had gone to offer prayers at Farooq-e-Azam Mosque in Sector 16-A, noticed a child begging nearby who looked eerily familiar. Upon closer inspection, he identified the boy as his missing nephew.
Residents of the area detained the suspect who was accompanying the child and handed him over to the police.
The incident has raised serious concerns about organized child abduction and forced begging rings operating in the city.
