Leading automakers are leveraging EV technology and updating their lineups in response to the significant shift towards electric vehicles, driven by increasing consumer demand in Pakistan. Later this year, Lucky Motor Corporation is expected to unveil the latest range of Kia battery electric vehicles. This includes updated models like the Sportage and Sorento, as well as the new EV5 and EV9.
The EV9, designed for modern electric mobility, can accommodate up to seven passengers and supports ultra-fast charging with 400V and 800V systems. The Kia EV5 is an electric SUV boasting a range of up to 665 km.
The EV9 has received the ‘World Electric Vehicle’ and ‘World Car of the Year’ awards in 2024.
A few years ago, Pakistan introduced its electric vehicle (EV) policy to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles and reduce the country’s carbon footprint.
