Police in Punjab’s Khushab district have registered a case over the theft of four cold drink bottles worth just Rs 500.
According to police sources, a shopkeeper from Mohalla Islampura Eidgah reported the incident by calling the emergency helpline 15, stating that four bottles were stolen from his store.
In response, police not only registered an FIR against an unknown suspect but also appointed an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) to investigate the case and trace the thief.
This is not the first time Khushab police have acted on minor thefts. Previously, FIRs were also lodged for the theft of a shoe worth Rs 1,000 and watermelons valued at Rs 3,000.
Khushab police maintain that regardless of the scale, every crime will be registered and every offender pursued. “No crime is too small for legal action,” a police official stated.
