It seems like Anoushey Ashraf has landed herself in hot waters after saying she would never work with Khalil-ur-Rehman even if offered Rs5 million.
Ashraf recently sat down for an interview with Tabish Hashmi. He had asked the VJ about her take on dramas and why she did not consider acting as a career like other VJs of her time did. “I’m actually happy where I am,” said Ashraf.
“I can also be hit after getting two slaps and will also be having millions of followers, but I don’t want that,” she indirectly took a dig at Ayeza Khan. she further added that she does not want to do Khalil-ur-Rehman’s project even if I will get Rs50 lac.”
Following her anti-Khalil remarks, the VJ somehow faced criticism on her social media account. Now, Ashraf has released a statement regarding this and shared how Khalil-ur-Rehman’s followers have been slandering her.

“All I said was what I felt was right. That I don’t agree with his vision and ethos and that’s my right. It’s an opinion and I put it out respectfully. I was also asked this question so I have an answer in return. Respectfully. And earnestly,” she posted.
She went on to say, “But his followers have been slandering me, abusing me, and talking about my wroth… They’re the prime example of why I wouldn’t want them to even know me. And now they do. If you can’t respect another person’s opinion without shaming them, then it’s time to reflect. Also, see the whole show and see Tabihs Hashmi’s response too.”
She concluded the post by saying, “He said he would not do the project either. Just being true to ourselves, just lie Khalil Sahib is true to his values. SImple. Disrespect, however, is a pattern I see in all his followers and it’s extremely disheartening. Thanks for the attention though. Much love to all.”
